Dress for Success Celebrates Gloria Steinem and Women Who Inspire

Dress for Success Worldwide today announced that it will host its annual Women Who Inspire Luncheon on September 30, 2026, at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City.

Gloria Steinem

This year’s theme, Rise Together, reflects the belief that progress is never achieved alone. It celebrates the women who inspire us, the leaders who lift others up, and the global community that makes every breakthrough possible. Together, we amplify voices, break barriers, and create new opportunities for women around the world.

As part of this year’s celebration, Dress for Success Worldwide will honor renowned activist, writer, and global advocate Gloria Steinem. Steinem’s visionary leadership and fearless advocacy helped shape generations and inspired countless individuals to raise their voices, pursue their dreams and ambitions, and challenge systemic barriers. Her influence continues to resonate across movements, industries, and communities worldwide.

Gloria was scheduled to speak at the event in celebration of her recent book, An Unexpected Life. Now, the luncheon includes a special tribute in conversation with distinguished guests: Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild award winner, Julianna Margulies, and producer, writer, and activist, Amy Richards. Together they will honor Steinem’s extraordinary life, enduring legacy, and decades-long commitment to advancing equality, opportunity, and empowerment for women and girls globally.

“Gloria Steinem’s courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to advancing opportunity for women and girls has created lasting change for women globally,” said Joanie Bily, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide. “We are honored to celebrate Gloria Steinem’s extraordinary life, enduring legacy, and profound impact on generations of women worldwide. As Dress for Success Worldwide’s first strategic advisor, her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to equality have inspired a movement, expanded opportunity, and helped shape a future where more women can thrive in work and in life.”

The luncheon will also recognize organizations and partners that are championing access, equity, and new pathways for women to achieve greater and sustainable economic mobility. Through collective action and shared commitment, the Women Who Inspire luncheon reinforces the importance of investing in programs and services that support women and strengthen families, communities, and economies.

This year’s event is made possible by generous support from corporate sponsors including ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry, The Adecco Group US Foundation, Benefit Cosmetics, The Coca-Cola Company, KnitWell Group, GEICO Philanthropic Foundation, and Ulta Beauty, as well as media partner Gear Communications. Longtime Dress for Success partner TJ Maxx will once again support the Women Who Inspire Luncheon as a sponsor and provide professional styling for the Global Ambassadors as part of its ongoing sponsorship of the Global Ambassador Program.

Proceeds will help provide career development, workforce readiness, financial education, entrepreneurship programs and services, and a global community of support across our global network of 129 Network Members in 17 countries.
