The 2024 Met Gala took place 6th May night with the theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
The comfiest dress of the night
Emma — The Sleep Company, couldn’t help but jump in the discussion. While being aware that the theme is only related to sleep through its metaphorical title. At Emma, the expertise area is not fashion, but the Sleep Experts Team does know a lot about sleep.

World’s most luxurious fabric
Prabal Gurung and Boll & Branch Debut Met Gala gown made of the world’s most luxurious fabric. The fashion designer and beloved bedding brand collaborated on the atelier gown worn by tennis legend Maria Sharapova for the season’s exhibition’s theme.
“When I heard about the Sleeping Beauties theme, I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be iconic to do something metaphorical by partnering with someone in that world who really understands materials?” says Gurung. “Normally for Met Gala moments, we use silks and duchess satins. Boll & Branch has the most luxurious, finest cotton that I’ve ever seen and ever touched. I grew up in India, so finding a cotton fabric made in an exceptionally luxurious way felt like the chicest expression of this theme and a beautiful way to tie-in our values.”

In love with denim
Zac Posen, Styled in a Made to Measure Banana Republic Suit and Pant, Dresses Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her first Met Gala Red Carpet Inspired by the San Francisco Bay and Crafted out of Gap Denim.
“With this Gap gown, I’ve fallen back in love with denim,” said Da’Vine Joy Randolph. “I feel powerful. It makes me feel very feminine, but in a way that I can identify with – through strength, power, and resilience.”

The Swarovski brand appeared on the Met Gala red carpet with five one-of-a-kind couture looks designed by Swarovski creative director Giovanna Engelbert, accompanied by stars of the spring/summer 2024 campaign and friends of the fashion house Irina Shayk, Karlie Kloss, Imaan Hammam and Anok Yai.
My vision was for our muses to embody the elements of nature found in an enchanted garden full of crystals, and for their gowns to merge with our jewelry – to undergo a metamorphosis, becoming one. I wanted to bring the same level of artistry and creativity to styling that we bring to our jewelry and capture the beauty of nature and serene spirit, as well as the elegance and extravagance of Swarovski at this important moment for fashion and pop culture.” – Giovanna Engelbert
