Mind The Skin, the innovative skin health brand pioneering stage-specific patches for flare-prone skin, brought the eczema community together for its inaugural Flare Space LA event at the Arc Beverly on October 23. Healthcare professionals, creators, and community members spent the afternoon sharing their stories and support.

“Eczema affects more than skin. It touches daily life, emotional wellbeing, and the people who care for those living with it,” CEO and co-founder Audrey Ajakaye says. “We created The Flare Space because no one should have to navigate that experience alone. What stayed with me most was the willingness to share personal stories, ask honest questions, and learn from one another. That sense of connection is why this matters to us at Mind The Skin.”
Education is also at the forefront: The Flare Space LA held an expert panel featuring Jada Jones, Dr. Maryam Safaee, and Sarah Bibbo, who offered their personal and professional perspectives on the physical and emotional realities of eczema. Other interactive activities included the Flare Wall, where attendees could write and display their own messages and notes; the Flare Confessionals, where they were interviewed about their experience living with flare-prone skin; and a station dedicated to decorating Mind The Skin mini tote bags with DIY charms.
Hosting The Flare Space LA during Eczema Awareness Month was intentional, reflecting Mind The Skin’s belief that skin health is about more than what happens on the surface. Following its Los Angeles event, the brand plans to bring The Flare Space to other cities around the world, creating more opportunities for people living with flare-prone skin to connect, share their experiences, and feel supported. The vision is simple: No one should have to navigate their skin journey alone.
“This is just the beginning,” Ajakaye says. “We look forward to hosting more Flare Space events, bringing together people living with eczema or sensitive, flare-prone skin, along with those who care for them, to learn, connect, and feel understood.”
