G-SHOCK Redefines Luxury with MR-G at COUTURE 2025

Casio America, Inc. is excited to confirm its presence at COUTURE 2025, taking place from June 4 to June 8. As the premier showcase for luxury jewelry and timepiece design, COUTURE sets the ideal backdrop for G-SHOCK to present its newest breakthroughs in high-end watchmaking. Celebrated for its dedication to exceptional craftsmanship from across the globe, the event provides the perfect platform to highlight G-SHOCK’s evolving vision of luxury horology.

G-SHOCK Returns to COUTURE 2025

At this year’s event, G-SHOCK will present its newest line of elevated timepieces from the premium MR-G collection—models that blend cutting-edge technology with refined materials and the meticulous artistry of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. These timepieces exemplify G-SHOCK’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of durability, design, and elegance.

Headlining the showcase are the recently launched MRGB2100R-2A, MRGB2100B-1A, and MRGB2100D-1A. These models represent a striking fusion of G-SHOCK’s renowned engineering and the intricate aesthetics of kigumi—a centuries-old Japanese woodworking technique that assembles structures without nails. The resulting design reflects both strength and precision, two qualities at the heart of the MR-G philosophy.

Also featured will be the digital icons of the MR-G line—the MRGB5000B-1 and MRGB5000D-1—which pay tribute to the original G-SHOCK silhouette while elevating it through masterful craftsmanship and luxury-grade materials. These timepieces fuse the heritage of the first G-SHOCK with the precision and sophistication expected in the high-end watch space. Constructed from lightweight yet incredibly durable titanium and finished with meticulous details like Sallaz polishing and sapphire crystal, each model exemplifies the balance of resilience and refinement.

Expanding its presence beyond horology, Casio will debut a new artistic initiative at COUTURE 2025: “Making Art with MR-G.” This ongoing project invites contemporary artists to engage with the MR-G ethos and reinterpret the collection through their own creative lens, transforming the timepiece into a source of artistic inspiration and a platform for innovation across art, technology, and design. The first collaboration in the series features acclaimed artist Genta Ishizuka, renowned for his use of traditional urushi lacquer to craft sculptural, organic forms. For this debut, Ishizuka has created a one-of-a-kind lacquer work inspired by the MRGB2100B—the latest MR-G model that inherits the iconic G-SHOCK 2100 design and is forged from COBARION®, a cutting-edge Japanese alloy four times harder than pure titanium. With future collaborations already in development, “Making Art with MR-G” promises to continually push the boundaries of creative expression far beyond traditional product design.

G-SHOCK’s presence at COUTURE 2025 marks a defining moment in the brand’s evolution—signaling its growing influence not just as a symbol of absolute toughness, but as a serious contender in the world of luxury watchmaking. Long known for its durability and innovation, G-SHOCK is now carving out a new lane at the intersection of advanced engineering, refined design, and elevated craftsmanship. From premium materials to intricate movements and artisanal finishing, G-SHOCK’s luxury offerings are redefining what collectors and connoisseurs expect from a high-end timepiece.
