Artificial intelligence robots for H&M GBC AB and IKEA Svenska AB

Rebl Industries, a Swedish robotics firm, has inked important framework agreements with worldwide fashion and design businesses H&M and IKEA Svenska AB to launch the next generation of robot-as-a-service (RaaS) products

AI robots have been effectively deployed in real-world production scenarios for many years. They were created to automate processes like sorting, palletizing, and depalletizing, relieving warehouse workers from repetitious and physically taxing work. The robots may be easily deployed as a results-driven service without incurring substantial upfront capital costs—a strategy that competes with traditional automation models.

Rebl is now entering a new phase of comprehensive collaborations with H&M and IKEA. Since summer 2024, H&M has used Rebl robots in its Nordic online warehouse in Sweden. This combination of process-enhancing technology and collaborative effort has produced favorable outcomes, increasing production predictability and efficiency. Implementations in further locations are being planned.

Nicholas Tengelin, CEO of Rebl Industries

To speed its global expansion, the firm has hired Nicholas Tengelin, an experienced automotive executive who has previously held key management positions at Volvo Cars, Hedin Mobility Group, and Hogia, where he was the company’s first external CEO. His responsibility will be to swiftly expand Rebl’s position and industrialize its solutions as a global leader in next-generation robots.

“We are excited to be working with international firms like H&M and IKEA. Our AI robots are quickly integrating into warehouse operations, reducing repetitive activities for workers while enhancing overall job productivity. According to Nicholas Tengelin, CEO of Rebl Industries, this innovative technology opens up new automation options in sectors that previously did not profit from robots.

Rebl Industries provides Robot as a Service solutions

While robotic automation has long been prevalent in automotive and industrial manufacturing, the warehousing industry is also undergoing a similar revolution. Rebl is changing this industry by providing robots-as-a-service solutions, which have the distinct advantage of charging consumers for the work performed rather than the equipment.

These robots, outfitted with proprietary software, artificial intelligence, and powerful sensors, can recognize, lift, transport, and load unsorted commodities of varied sizes and bundles in real time. They feature an intuitive interface for human contact and are part of a neural network that allows them to learn together and improve continuously. These capabilities are currently uncommon in traditional automation, but Rebl’s implementations over the last few years have demonstrated their value.

“This is only the beginning.” Nicholas’ arrival marks a significant step toward establishing a top robotics cluster and expanding our solutions globally. Rebl Industries is in a great position to drastically transform the landscape of warehouse robotics under his direction, thanks to our outstanding team and strong collaborations,” says Alexander Westerling, co-founder of Rebl Industries and CEO of Pulsen Fusion.
